Whipping Creams

I’ve been asked this question several times so I thought I would share the answer with everyone. Question – What is the difference in – heavy whipping cream, whipped cream, whipped topping? Answer – Heavy whipping cream is cream with a fat content of 36-40%. When whipped with an electric mixer, it can be used as a dessert topping or folded into desserts for flavor and lightness. Whipped cream is the product you get from beating heavy whipping cream. If you desire a sweeter product, add 1 to 2 Tablespoons of confectioners’ sugar. Whipped topping such as Cool Whip is a nondairy whipped topping.
