White Chocolate Custard – Pulled

I’m not a chocolate lover but did make this using milk chocolate chips. I also sprinkled the milk chocolate custard with coconut and chopped pecans. My food testers loved both giving them a rating of 10+. The white chocolate is perfect to top with strawberries, cherries or blueberries. Think with your Taste Buds when working up this dish. You can also make this dish using a graham cracker crust. But, this recipe has been pulled and sent to the Think With Your Taste Buds manuscript file.

Apple Sticky Buns – Pulled

This recipe is actually made from unbaked dinner rolls. I added apples, sugar, nuts and seasonings to make these delicious little rolls. But, I’ve pulled this recipe and sent it to the manuscript file for Think With Your Taste Buds – Desserts. Watch for it as well as other simple desserts later this year.

Strawberry Jello Pie – Pulled

This pie can be changed simply by changing the? flavor of jello and/or fruit.? I would think cherry jello with cherries, a scoop of whipped topping and a drizzle of chocolate might even be appealing. But this recipe has been pulled and sent to the Think With Your Taste Buds File – Desserts.? So, watch for this along with so many other desserts in the near future.

Cream Cheese Apple Pie

I found the original version of this recipe online. When I printed a copy to use for making, the recipe name and the person who submitted didn’t print with the recipe. I did make a couple of changes which included using brown sugar only in the topping, I added a little more almond extract than the original recipe called for. I diced the apples instead of cutting them into slices. And I increased the amount of almond slivers. This turned out to be a very tasty recipe. Coconut Cheesecake Pie – Pulled

This recipe can be changed by simply changing the flavor of the pie filling. I’ve made this with cook and serve pie filling and instant. The cook and serve has a better flavor and texture but you can save time by using the instant. One suggestion is to change the crust. I’ve made this using crushed pretzels with 1/4 cup of melted butter and changed the pie filling to Pistachio. I’ve also topped it with small marshmallows and lightly toasted them under the broiler

Creamy Cherry Pie

1 deep dish graham cracker crumb crust 1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk 1/4 cup lemon juice 1 carton (8 oz.) sour cream 1 can (21 oz.) cherry pie filling Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine condensed milk and lemon juice. Stir in sour cream. Spread over crust. Spoon pie filling over cream mixture. Bake for about 18 minutes. The edges should barely start turning a light brown. Refrigerate. Serves 8 This is one of the easiest cream pies you will ever make. You can actually use any flavor of pie filling.. apple, berries, lemon, etc. You can add nuts after cooking or if you use apple pie filling you might want to make a crumb topping to add while cooking using a little flour, brown sugar, nuts and cinnamon.

The only thing I would change in this would be to add a glaze made from powdered sugar and milk. The amount will depend on how much glaze you want or if you want to actually ice completely. If you decide to ice and want a quick method, use a container of pre-packaged cream cheese icing or make your own. I haven’t tried it yet but I really think pineapple in place

Donut Cupcakes

I’ve just posted a simple but tasty cupcake in Martha’s Kitchen Korner. These little mini cupcakes are great for after school snacks. They are also great as a treat for yourself along with a cup of coffee after the kids have gone to school. The nutmeg gives the cakes a donut flavor. Changes can be made by changing the spice or cake mix flavor. And for you chocolate lovers, try this recipe using a chocolate cake mix.
